A Selecao won the inaugural UEFA Nations League after beating the Netherlands 1-0 in the final thanks to a goal by Goncalo Guedes.
As a consequence, the European side won only the second title in their 98-year long history after winning the 2016 UEFA European Championship.
In the 16 years since Ronaldo became a Portugal international, his country has now lifted two international trophies, while a piece of silverware eluded his nation in the 82 years before.

In addition, the Portugal captain also became the first player in history to lift 10 European trophies.
Ronaldo has now won the UEFA Nations League and Euros with Portugal, four UEFA Champions Leagues and three UEFA Super Cups with Real Madrid, plus another UCL during his time at Manchester United.

The UEFA Nations League was his third trophy this season after already lifting the Serie A and Supercoppa Italiana titles with Juventus.
