Reigning UEFA Champions League holders Chelsea advanced to the quarter-finals after defeating Lille 2-1 on Wednesday night.
Thomas Tuchel opted for a few changes this week as Jorginho, Cesar Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso came back into the side while Romelu Lukaku was left on the bench once again.
Lille, meanwhile, were forced to make a change in midfield as Renato Sanches missed out through injury and was replaced by Gabriel Gudmundsson.
The Blues came into the second leg with a healthy two-goal cushion, but they fell behind on 36 minutes when Lille were awarded a penalty after Jorginho's handball, which allowed Burak Yilmaz to scored from 12-yards out.
The defending champions weren't behind for too long as Christian Pulisic restored parity on the stroke of halftime with a composed finish after being played in by Jorginho.
Lille nearly got themselves a second goal in the 63rd minute when Yilmaz turned provider to pick out Xeka, who steered his header on the upright.
However, Chelsea went on to grab a second goal at the other end eight minutes later as Azpilicueta guided home a cross from Mason Mount to put the tie out of Lille's reach.
Villarreal sent Juventus crashing out of the Champions League with a 2-0 victory in the second leg in Turin.
Danilo and Arthur Melo were back in the side for the Serie A giants while Yeremi Pino and Serge Aurier came in for the Yellow Submarine.
With the away goal rule no longer in use, the tie was evenly poised after the first leg ended all square at 1-1 two weeks ago.
The first half was played ay a decent tempo, although the only the hosts enjoyed more of the sights at goal as Dusan Valhovic hit the crossbar while Geronimo Rulli was forced into a couple saves.
While there was no breakthrough early in the second half, Villarreal looked to their bench and introduced Samuel Chukwueze and Francis Coquelin on 65 minutes.
However, the visitors were awarded a penalty in the 78th minute after Rugani's foul, which allowed Gerard Moreno to slot home and put his ahead.
Villarreal sealed the win with five minutes left on the clock when Pau Torres turned home a cross from Aurier in the box to send his side into the last eight.
