There was cause for concern during RB Leipzig's UEFA Champions League win over Tottenham Hotspur on Tuesday when one of the German club's stars had to receive emergency medical attention after swallowing his own tongue.

Leipzig recorded a comfortable 3-0 (4-0 on aggregate) win over Jose Mourinho's Spurs on Tuesday, but were left with concern for defender Nordi Mukiele, who was knocked unconscious during the match.
According to the Daily Mail, the 22-year-old former France youth international was knocked out in the second half of the match after being caught on the jaw by a crossed ball, and lay motionless after swallowing his own tongue.

Medical staff rapidly responded to the former Montpellier starlet on the pitch, and he was subsequently stretchered off and replaced by Tyler Adams before being rushed to hospital. He has since made a full recovery.
