Cristiano Ronaldo netted a brace as Real Madrid came from behind to defeat ten-man Bayern Munich 2-1 in their UEFA Champions League quarterfinal first leg tie.

However, Real took the lead in the 76th minute as Marcos Asensio's teasing cross was turned home by Ronaldo in the six-yard box.

Ancelotti threw on French winger Kingsley Coman for the final 10 minutes as they pushed for an equaliser, but they struggled carve out an opening.

Real enjoyed most of the possession in the closing stages, but the score remained 2-1 at the full-time whistle.
