Thierry Henry has seemingly sent a message to Mohamed Salah after his comments ahead of Liverpool's UEFA Champions League final against Real Madrid, which the Reds lost 1-0 in Paris.
Klopp Makes Promise To Liverpool Fans After UCL Loss
In the build-up to the showpiece at the Stade de France on Saturday, it appeared several Los Blancos players were offended by remarks made by the Egyptian winger.
After initially saying he wanted to go up against Real in the final before Carlo Ancelotti's side progressed past Manchester City at the semi-final stage, Salah doubled down by making more comments that might have suggested he was confident of a Liverpool victory.
Things, however, did not go according to plan for the forward, who could not find a way past Belgium international Thibaut Courtois, who was named Man of the Match for his heroic display in the final.
After the game ended 1-0 in favour of the now-14-time Champions League winners, ex-Barcelona forward Henry seemed to take aim at Salah.
"We have said it so many times, it's about putting the ball into the back of the net. They (Real Madrid) have one on target and they score," he said, according to SPORTbible.
"Liverpool had a lot. But they faced Thibaut Courtois. Remember what I said in the semi-final, people don't give him the credit he deserves. He's one of the best keepers in the world and better than Ederson. And he's shown it tonight.
"I always say something, don't talk before a final. Beat Real Madrid, then talk and say, 'it was revenge' and all of that. When you talk before a final, you have to win it."
