Sadio Mane Reveals When He'll Announce Liverpool Future Decision

Sadio Mane Reveals When He'll Announce Liverpool Future Decision

With Sadio Mane set to enter the final 12 months of his current deal at Liverpool, the Senegalese forward has announced when he will reveal his decision about his future with the Reds.

Transfer Update: Neymar

Since the turn of the year, no other Liverpool player has scored more goals than Mane across all competitions, with the attacker having found the back of the net on 14 different occasions in 2022.

His scintillating form comes at a time when his future with the Merseyside club is in question, however, with his contract set to expire at the end of the 2022/23 season.

The 30-year-old has now admitted he is looking no further than Saturday evening, when he and his teammates take on Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League final in Paris.

"For sure, it will be special to win it, and make it seven (European Cup wins for the club). And this question (his future) I will answer after the Champions League," Senegal's all-time top goalscorer said, as per the Daily Mail.

"Stay or not, I'll answer after the Champions League."

His teammate Mohamed Salah has already committed his immediate future to Jurgen Klopp's men, with the Egyptian stating he will stay for the 2022/23 season, but with Mane having been offered lucrative deals from the likes of Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain, according to Sport Bild, the winger's future remains up in the air.

Mane will look to help Liverpool capture a seventh Champions League trophy on Saturday, which could be the last time the football fraternity sees the famous front three of Mane, Salah and Roberto Firmino all play alongside one another for the recently crowned FA Cup winners, with both Salah and Firmino's deals also set to run out at the end of next season.

After losing their first UCL final together in 2018, being defeated by Los Blancos in Kyiv, the former Southampton man has reiterated that this will not be a game premised on revenge.

"For me, it's not revenge, for sure it's not revenge. Four years in between, a lot of things have changed – the way we deal with games, experience, we have more quality in the team, so it's an exciting game," Mane added.

"We all forgot about what happened in 2018. For sure, Real Madrid were the better team and fully deserved to win the final, and congratulations, but it's going to be a different game."
