A shock report has suggested that police were called to Paris Saint-Germain's dressing room following an incident after their UEFA Champions League exit at the hands of Real Madrid on Wednesday night.
A 17-minute hat-trick from Karim Benzema at the Santiago Bernabeu saw the French giants knocked out of Europe, a result that was believed to infuriate PSG club officials.
It is claimed that president Nasser Al-Khelaifi stormed into the referees' dressing room after the game as he was reportedly fuming over what he felt was a foul on goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma for Benzema's first goal.
The Italy international appeared flustered in possession as the Frenchman closed him down in his own box, before a failed clearance landed at the feet of Brazilian winger Vinicius Junior, who squared the ball for Benzema to find the back of the net.
However, according to El Partidazo de COPE, Al-Khelaifi and sporting director Leonardo entered the wrong room and came face to face with a Real Madrid club official named Mejia Devila.
Matters escalated when police were called to see to the intense situation, with the report suggesting that PSG's furious president threatened to kill a Real employee who was filming his every move.
Benzema's first goal on Wednesday sparked an incredible and memorable comeback from the 13-time European champions, with the French side once again crashing out of the competition in humiliating circumstances.
Following the arrival of Lionel Messi, along with Donnarumma, Achraf Hakimi, Georginio Wijnaldum and Sergio Ramos, in August last year, the Paris-based club were tipped for Champions League success, but their collapse at the Bernabeu seems to suggest not all is well behind the scenes.
Mauricio Pochettino's future as head coach has also been called into question, while there are likely to be some more personnel changes next season as Kylian Mbappe's likely free-agent exit draws nearer.
