The Spaniard has won 14 trophies, including two Champions League titles, during his time at Camp Nou and will now return to the club where he rose to stardom as a coach.
"Naturally, it's special. I'm from Barcelona. That's all I need to say," he told reporters, as quoted by AS.
"I'm here now thanks to my time at Barça. There were three options that the draw could have thrown up but it's a special tie for many of us here, Thiago, the staff... A lifetime at Barcelona."
Guardiola also insisted that Bayern need to prevent a performance like they produced away to Porto if they want to reach the final in Berlin.
"If we make the same mistakes that we made in the start of the game against FC Porto then Barcelona will be the team that make the final," he added.
Barcelona and Bayern have met eight times in European competition, with Bayern winning five, drawing two and only losing one game against the Catalans.
