Maguire & Onana Rescue First UCL Win For Man Utd

Group A

Manchester United 1-0 FC Copenhagen

Manchester United got their first win in the group stages after defeating FC Copenhagen 1-0 at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils were boosted by the return of Raphael Varane and Sergio Reguilon, while Rasmus Hojlund started against boyhood club club.

It took a while for the Reds to open the scoring but it arrived in the 73rd minute when Harry Maguire nodded home a cross from Christian Eriksen for his first goal of the season.

In second-half stoppage time, Copenhagen were awarded a penalty for Scott McTominay's foul, however Andre Onana was the hero after making the save to keep out Jordan Larsson's penalty.

Galatasaray 1-3 Bayern Munich

Bayern Munich maintained their winning start in the group stages with a 3-1 win over Galatasaray.

Kingsley Coman gave the German giants the lead on eight minutes but a penalty from Mauri Icardi brought the Turkish side level on 30 minutes.

Harry Kane restored Bayern's lead in the 73rd minute before Jamal Musiala sealed the victory six minutes later.

Group B

Sevilla 2-1 Arsenal

Arsenal returned to winning ways in the Champions League after defeating Sevilla 2-1 on Tuesday evening.

The Gunners got the breakthrough on the stroke of halftime when Gabriel Martinelli found the back of the net after being set up by Gabriel Jesus.

Jesus got on the scoresheet himself and doubled the home side's lead eight minutes after the break, before Nemanja Gudelj pulled one back for the LaLiga side in the 58th minute.

RC Lens 1-1 PSV Eindhoven

RC Lens and PSV Eindhoven shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw at the  Stade Bollaert-Delelis.

After a goalless first half, Johan Bakayoko opened the scoring ten minutes after the break but they were pegged back in the 65th minute by Sepe Wahi's strike.

Group C

Sporting Braga 1-2 Real Madrid

Real Madrid maintained their perfect record in the group stages with a 2-1 win away to Sporting Braga.

Los Blancos broke the deadlock in the 16th minute when Brazilian winger Rodrygo fired for only his second goal of the campaign.

Jude Bellingham continued his fine form this season by bagging his 12th goal across all competitions in the 61st minute.

Álvaro Djaló did pull one back for Braga two minutes later but Carlo Ancelotti's men were able to hold on for the win.

Union Berlin 0-1 Napoli

Napoli got back to winning ways in the group stage phase after edging past Union Berlin at Olympiastadion Berlin.

Giacomo Raspadori's second-half strike was enough to hand the Italian champions maximum points.

Group D

Inter Milan 2-1 Red Bull Salzburg

Inter Milan made it back-to-back wins in the group after defeating Red Bull Salzburg 2-1 at San Siro on Tuesday.

Alexis Sanchez and Hakan Calhanoglu got the goals for the Serie A giants, cancelling out Oscar Gloukh's second-half strike.

Benfica 0-1 Real Sociedad

Real Sociedad made it back-to-back wins in Group D after defeating Benfica 1-0 at the Estádio do Sport Lisboa e Benfica.

Brais Méndez's 63rd minute strike was enough to seal three points for the Spaniards.

The win took Sociedad top of the group, level on points with second-place Inter while Benfica sit bottom.
