Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal has revealed which of his players he thinks is best at keeping possession.

The Dutchman inadvertently did this when explaining why he subbed Bastian Schweinsteiger in his side's 2-1 Champions League win over Wolfsburg on Wednesday.
"He was tired I thought and that was the reason, because he also gave balls away and Schweinsteiger is normally the best possession player, so that is the reason I changed him," he told the club's official website.
The German midfielder was United's seventh-best passer on the night, with an accuracy of 79%, while Juan Mata (97.7%) and Wayne Rooney (86.1%) lead the stat, according to WhoScored.com.
However, despite only playing 71 minutes, Schweinsteiger had the most passes among Van Gaal's players with 62, ahead of Daley Blind (59).
Overall, the former Bayern Munich star's pass accuracy is only the eighth-best among United's players who have played more than five Premier League games, with 86.4%.

The 31-year-old has made 12 appearances for United, starting eight of those games, but only featured for the whole 90 minutes in three of those fixtures.
