The German giants secured the treble after Kingsley Coman scored the only the goal of the night on Sunday.

Bayern ended a superb campaign with a 100% record in the Champions League, becoming the first team to win all their games on the way to the title.

While the Bavarian side's players celebrated widely after the final whistle, Neymar was seen in tears and had to be consolled by his teammates as well as some players from the new champions.

David Alaba was seen comforting Neymar before he could not hold back the tears on the bench, as he was watching Bayern's players party.

Neymar appeared inconsolable and seemingly did not want to get up to collect his runners-up medal, staying on the bench while his teammates lined up near the podium.

"Looks like they're trying to persuade Neymar to go up and collect his runners-up medal," said Gary Lineker said on BT Sport.

"He has to go, you can't sulk," Rio Ferdinand added.

"You've got to show some respect for the opposition when they go up there and get the trophy."

In the end, Neymar did get up to collect his medal and he touched the trophy as he walked off the podium before Bayern lifted their sixth European Cup.
