It took a solitary goal from star man Vinicius Junior in the second half to hand Los Blancos their first Champions League crown since 2018.

Manager Carlo Ancelotti has now taken his tally to four Champions League titles, making him the tournament's most successful coach after overtaking Zinedine Zidane and Bob Paisley.

Ancelotti was not the only man write his name in the history books, as Dani Carvajal, Luka Modric, Gareth Bale, Toni Kroos, Casemiro, Marcelo, Nacho, Isco all won their fifth Champions League title.

The night was also emotional for three players, with Marcelo confirming it was his last game for Los Blancos while Bale and Isco are also set to leave next month.

"The emotion is brutal, it was my last game with Real Madrid. But I am very happy. It's not a day of sadness, I'm leaving with a lot of joy, grateful to the fans and the magical nights I've experienced at the Bernabeu," Marcelo said after the game, as per Marca.
