De Bruyne got the ball rolling after opening the scoring for City after 93 seconds, which is now the fastest-ever goal scored by a City player in the Champions League, breaking the 95 second record set by John Stones.

After City broke into a two-goal lead, Benzema came to the rescue as he has done all season and pulled one back in the first while he also grabbed the third goal with a cheeky penalty on 81 minutes.
The brace took Benzema's tally for the campaign to 14 goals in the tournament, which is Messi's highest in his career while his former Los Blancos teammate Cristiano Ronaldo holds the record for most goals with (17).
