Juventus' newest signing Dusan Vlahovic broke an incredible 27-year-old UEFA Champions League record on his competition debut on Tuesday night.
It took the Serbian sensation a mere 32 seconds to make Champions League history when, during his first game in the competition, he trapped Danilo's overhead through-ball and then calmly slotted the ball into the back of the net past Villarreal goalkeeper Geronimo Rulli.
In doing so, he broke the record for the fastest UCL goal by a debutant, which was previously held by German legend Andy Moller, who scored 37 seconds into a 3-1 defeat to the Bianconeri in 1995.
Juventus seem to have found a new superstar in Vlahovic, who has hit the ground running at the Allianz Stadium. Since making his €75 million (R1.3 billion) switch from Fiorentina in January, the striker has been involved in three goals (two goals and one assist) in five appearances, including a debut strike against Hellas Verona.
The young forward has carried his rich vein of form from Florence into Europe's premier club competition, and has now taken his goal tally in all competitions to 22 for the season.
The ex-Partizan Belgrade man also achieved another impressive feat with his goal against The Yellow Submarine – Vlahovic became the second-youngest (22 years, 25 days) debutant goalscorer in the Champions League for Juve after Alessandro Del Piero (20 years, 308 days).
Here is where Vlahovic's transfer to Juventus in January ranks among the previous window's most expensive deals:
