The Portuguese celebrated his third Champions League title with Real Madrid, helping Los Blancos lift their third UCL trophy in just four years.
Overall, it was Real's 12th European Cup, while Ronaldo now has four winner's medals in his trophy cabinet.
The 32-year-old also won the 2007/08 Champions League with Manchester United, in addition to his three titles with the Madrid club.
As a consequence, he joins an elite club of only seven players, who have lifted four UCL trophies, the others being Andres Iniesta, Clarence Seedorf, Xavi Hernandez, Gerard Pique, Samuel Eto'o and Messi.
However, Ronaldo has one big argument to better his longstanding rival's record – he played in all four finals, while Messi was not in the matchday squad for his first UCL title back in 2006.
