The groups for this season's UEFA Champions League have now officially been drawn, with some fascinating ties being thrown up, while UEFA's 2021/22 Player of the Season has also been revealed!

This season, the Champions League as we know it celebrates its 30th anniversary, and some mouthwatering matches await football fans around the world when the competition commences on 6 September following the draw at the Halic Congress Center in Istanbul.
Reigning champions Real Madrid, who will be hoping to get their hands on Europe's biggest club prize once again this season, have been placed with Sevilla, Shakhtar Donetsk and Celtic in Group F, while losing 2021/22 finalists Liverpool are set to take on Ajax Amsterdam, Napoli and Rangers in Group A.
Manchester City, meanwhile, will have to beat Sevilla, Borussia Dortmund and FC Copenhagen in their bid to win the trophy Pep Guardiola most craves as Citizens boss, while Lionel Messi's Paris Saint-Germain will go up againt Juventus, Benfica and Maccabi Haifa in the group stage.
UEFA also announced and presented its awards to the best performers of the 2021/22 season.
Having scored the third most goals (15) ever in a UCL campaign last season, Los Blancos talisman Karim Benzema walked away with the highly coveted Men's Player of the Season prize, while his manager Carlo Ancelotti was named the best men's coach, Alexia Putellas of Barcelona was announced the top women's player of the campaign and England boss Sarina Wiegman the best women's coach.
Legendary Italian manager Arrigo Sacchi was also honoured with the UEFA President's Award.
