His goals also elevated him to third position among the tournament's all-time top goalscorers after previously being tied with Real Madrid's Karim Benzema – the Warsaw native has now scored 89 goals since making his competition debut in 2011.

That year was also the last time Los Blancos legend Raul Gonzalez graced the showpiece. The Real icon scored 71 times in the continental tournament while leading the Spanish giants to three UCL titles.
The former Spain international also has the second-most appearances for a Madridista in the competition, with 130 UCL matches played in for Real.
