A former Al Ahly star has backed Pyramids FC to secure a victory in their upcoming clash against Mamelodi Sundowns.

The Egyptian side will face Mamelodi Sundowns in the CAF Champions League final first on Saturday at Loftus Versveld in Pretoria.
The Sky Blues arrived in South Africa ahead of the CAF Champions League trophy unveiling and are set to hold a training session at the stadium on Friday in preparation for the game.
Jurcic has done well since taking over as Pyramids boss in February 2024, leading the team to a continental and domestic cup final this season, as well as mounting a strong title charge in the league.
According to Al-Masry Al-Youm, Rayan offered his verdict of the final and said what was needed for Pyramids to triumph over Masandawana.
"I hope Pyramids wins the CAF Champions League," Rayan said. "All Egyptian fans supported Ismaily in the CAF final."
He added: "Pyramids must take the lead against Sundowns in South Africa. The atmosphere there will be extremely difficult, and the team must learn from the previous experiences of Al Ahly and Zamalek."
Rayan complimented Jurcic and said Pyramids' focus should be on the CAF Champions League final and nothing else.
"Jurcic is a great coach and has successfully qualified for the CAF Champions League and Cup finals, in addition to competing for the league title," Rayan said.

"Pyramids should forget the match against Ceramica Cleopatra and focus solely on the Champions League final," he concluded.
