Juventus

Serie A

Result: Juventus 2-0 Bologna

Date: 26 September 2018

Venue: Juventus Stadium

Paulo Dybala was back among the goals for Juventus, as the Serie A champions recorded a comfortable win over Bologna on Wednesday night.

The Old Lady got off to the perfect start as Dybala bagged his first goal of the season with an acrobatic finish after Blaise Matuidi saw his initial effort saved.

Matuidi was not to be denied in the 16th minute as the French World Cup winner turned home Cristiano Ronaldo's cross in the six-yard box.

The Serie A champions enjoyed a lion's share of the possession in the first half, while Bologna provided no attacking threat as Juve goalkeeper Mattia Perin endured a quiet half.

That was the trend for the rest of the first stanza, as the Serie A champions went into the break with a comfortable lead.

The got off to a slow start, but Bologna managed to carve out a chance in the 52nd minute but Mattia Destro's overhead kick failed to trouble Perin.

Chances were few and far between as the half continued, as Juve looked comfortable with their two-goal advantage, while the visitors struggled to bypass the Juve defence.

That was the trend for the rest of the second half as neither side could carve out another opening, with the encounter ending 2-0 in Juve's favour.

Other results:

Udinese 1-2 Lazio Atalanta 0-0 Torino Cagliari 0-0 Sampdoria Genoa 2-0 Chievo Napoli 3-0 Parma AS Roma 4-0 Frosinone
