Result: Crotone 1-1 Juventus
Date: 17 October 2020
Venue: Stadio Ezio Scida
Serie A champions Juventus, who were without Cristiano Ronaldo, dropped points at Crotone on Saturday evening.
The defending champions were without Ronaldo and Weston McKennie, who both tested positive for the coronavirus this week.
It was the hosts who got off to the perfect start when Simeon Nwankwo converted from the penalty spot after Leonardo Bonucci's foul on Reca.
Juventus did managed to level matters in the 21st minute as Alvaro Morata bagged his first goal of the season by turning home Federico Chiesa's cross.
Andrea Pirlo's men nearly pulled themselves ahead before the halftime break when Dejan Kulusevski and Chiesa combined to play in Manolo Portanova, who saw his close-range saved by Cordaz.
The second started poorly for the visitors, who were reduced to 10 men after Chiesa received a straight red card for a studs-up challenge on Cigarini.
Juventus found a second goal in the 76th minute as Morata finished off Juan Cuadrado's cross but the Video Assistant Referee spotted an offside.
The Italian champions now turn their attention to Tuesday's UEAFA Champions League tie against Dynamo Kyiv.
