Despite the 24-year-old coming to the Neapolitans' defence following the uproar that arose after the club posted a controversial TikTok seemingly mocking the striker, it does not seem like the Lagos native is entirely happy with still being at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.
Gli Azzurri president Aurelio De Laurentiis recently insisted that everything was fine between Osimhen and the club following the outrage the social media post created, but according to CalcioMercato, the reigning Capocannoniere winner currently has no intention of extending his contract at the club.
The attacker is approaching the final year of his contract in southern Italy, and while De Laurentiis may have been comfortable rejecting offers from the likes of Paris Saint-Germain and Al Hilal in the latest transfer window, the Italian executive stands a huge chance of losing leverage over a gigantic valuation the longer Osimhen goes without extending.
While the Italian club will try its best to have the 2023 Ballon d'Or nominee sign a new deal, the same report claims that the three-time Scudetto winners are planning for contingencies.
Arsenal's Gabriel Jesus is a said to be a name that is greatly appreciated at Centro Sportivo Castel Volturno, but there is an acknowledgement that his transfer may not be an easy deal to execute.
