AS Roma manager Jose Mourinho has reportedly decided against signing a former Juventus star after protests from supporters.
The Italian side were seemingly keen on signing veteran italian defender Leonardo Bonucci in the January transfer as Mourinho looked to bolster his defence.

However, the club have reportedly withdrawn their interest in the 36-year-old to focus on a younger target when the transfer window.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Roma supporters made their feelings clear on the rumours by hanging a sign on a bridge in the city saying "Bonucci, rinse our b***s,"
The reports adds that the supporters made reference to Bonucci's 'rinse your mouth' celebration when he scored against Roma while at Juventus in 20214.
Mourinho did not want to openly speak on the Bonucci interest but did make reference to the Roma supporters.
"As for Bonucci, I don't feel comfortable. I think he must be respected and the way to do it is to not talk about a player under contract with Union Berlin. I see no reason to talk about Bonucci," he said via Football Italia.
"When you do something that the fans really like, you are fuelling that passion and that love. When you do something they don't like, I think it shouldn't be done and I can't say more than this."
