With many confused as to why Real Madrid let African superstar Achraf Hakimi leave the club, the right-back's agent has publicly put the blame on Los Blancos head coach Zinedine Zidane.
The Morocco international officially joined Inter Milan from Real last week following two impressive seasons on loan at Borussia Dortmund in Germany.
Just days before his transfer was confirmed, Zidane suggested that his club needed to stay strong financially, leading many to believe that Hakimi was sold purely for economical reasons.
Speaking about his client's move to Italy, agent Martin Camano has now insisted it should be up to the Frenchman to explain why the 21-year-old was let go.
"He must explain why Hakimi moved."
Camano then went on to discuss how Inter manager Antonio Conte began to express his interest in the player.
"He was always in contact with Hakimi. He talked to him about the club's future project, so we decided to move to Inter," he added.
"I believe that when a high-value coach like Conte calls you and strongly insists on contacting you, this is evidence that he wants you to become an important piece in his project. His team represents him."
Hakimi represented BVB on 73 occasions, scoring 12 goals and assisting a further 17 strikes.
