Klopp 'Named' Top Candidate For European Giants

Klopp 'Named' Top Candidate For European Giants

A major European team has already made it known that Jurgen Klopp will be a favoured candidate for them in the near future.

It has only been a few months since Liverpool commenced their post Klopp-era, with new Reds boss Arne Slot slowly getting to grips with life at Anfield.

So far, the Dutchman has won five of the six matches he has taken charge of as he seeks to build on what the German tactician left to him.

While the six-time European champions move on, Klopp's next move is yet to be revealed.

The Stuttgart native has previously suggested that he may retire altogether following his nine years on Merseyside, but there will be some hoping he is not definitive on that stance.

One of the organisations hoping the 57-year-old makes a return to football coaching is the German Football Association (DFB).

Current boss of Die Mannschaft, Julian Nagelsmann, has a contract that lasts until the end of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, and according to DFB sporting director Rudi Voller, should the former Bayern Munich boss decide to leave the role, Klopp will be a prime candidate to take the reins of the four-time world champions if he is interested.

"I don't even know what Jurgen would like to do again," Voller told Aktuelle Sportstudio.

"If Julian Nagelsmann were to decide at some point that he would rather coach a top club again, then, of course, there is no way around Jurgen Klopp. If he wants to."
