Toni Kroos Slams Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's Mask Celebrations, Rips Into FIFA & UEFA

Toni Kroos Slams Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's Mask Celebrations, Rips Into FIFA & UEFA

Real Madrid superstar Toni Kroos has slammed Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang for his famous mask celebrations, and also ripped into FIFA and UEFA for treating players like "puppets".

The 30-year-old midfielder hosts a podcast with his brother Felix, who plays his football in the Bundesliga 2 for Eintracht Braunschweig.

Speaking about certain players' celebrations, such as when Antoine Griezmann used to mimic dance moves from video game Fortnite and how Aubameyang used to pull a superhero mask out from his sock, the Los Blancos man admitted he thinks of these things as "nonsense".

"I find it very silly," he said on his Einfach mal Luppen podcast.

"Even worse is if there are any objects hidden in their socks. Aubameyang once celebrated and took out a mask.

"That's where it ends with me. I don't think that's a good role model, either. What nonsense."

On the topic of football's packed schedule this season, Kroos took aim at the sport's governing bodies for treating players without care.

"With the invention of all these new things, we seem to be just the puppets of FIFA and UEFA," he said.

"These competitions are created to suck everything out of every single player physically and to suck out as much money as possible. When certain things work well, it is a good idea to leave them that way."

Kroos is among the most successful players in the world, having won almost all there is to win at international and club level.
