The Citizens will reportedly only enter the market for the right players in their attempt to improve a squad that won the domestic treble last season.
Recent reports have linked Guardiola's side with the acquisition of Atletico Madrid midfielder Rodri. However, that deal will likely only go through once his release clause drops to €70 million (R1.1 billion) on 1 July.
In the meantime, Guardiola is also closely monitoring Isco's situation at Real, according to Marca.

The City coach reportedly sees his countryman as the perfect replacement for David Silva, who recently said he will leave the club after the 2019/20 season.
Due to Silva's additional year at the Etihad Stadium, there is no immediate pressure to complete a transfer for Isco, but it seems Los Blancos are prepared to let the player leave in this window.
Manager Zinedine Zidane has reportedly told the playmaker there is a place for him in the squad, but he will have to fight for a starting berth after the club's massive outlay in the window.
The 27-year-old is believed to be available for €80 million (R1.3 billion), which would make him City's most expensive signing ever, and Real will be keen to balance the books after their early splurge in the transfer market.
