The club of the leading midfield goalscorer in Europe last season has reportedly appointed a "super-agent" to negotiate the player's sale to LaLiga giants Real Madrid.

Reports from Spain suggest that super-agent Jorge Mendes has been appointed by Portuguese side Sporting Lisbon to mediate negotiations with Real for the sale of Bruno Fernandes to Los Blancos.
Fernandes is one of the most sought-after players in Europe after scoring 32 goals in 53 appearances last season, the most by any midfielder on the continent.
According to Marca, Sporting have set Real a price tag of €70 million (R1.1 billion) for Fernandes' signature, and regard the amount as non-negotiable.

The Lisbon-based side has remained steadfast in their valuation of the Portuguese star, and reportedly turned down offers from Premier League sides Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur for the player earlier in the month.
Los Blancos are said to have identified Neymar and Paul Pogba as their primary targets in this window, but Sporting are hoping to negotiate a deal for Fernandes' departure by making use of Mendes.

The 24-year-old scored in Sporting's 2-1 win over Braga last weekend, and has either scored or assisted a goal in 16 of his past 19 Primeira Liga matches, according to Opta Sports.
