Real Madrid's new €100 million (R1.6 billion) signing is expected to miss the club's opening LaLiga fixture this weekend through injury.

On Friday, Real announced, via their official website, that Eden Hazard had suffered a hamstring injury in training, and so could miss the club's league fixture against Celta Vigo on Saturday.
"After the tests carried out after training today on our player Eden Hazard by the Real Madrid Medical Services, he has been diagnosed with a muscular injury to the anterior part of his right thigh," the club said via its official website.
"His recovery will continue to be assessed."

Hazard's injury comes as a blow to Los Blancos, who are already without the services of Marco Asensio, who has been ruled out for the season, and Brazilian youngster Rodrygo Goes, while Luka Jovic has only recently returned to training.
The Belgium international joined Real from Premier League side Chelsea last month, and was given the No. 7 jersey previously worn by Cristiano Ronaldo and more recently Mariano Diaz.

Hazard spent seven seasons with the Blues, scoring 110 goals in 352 appearances and winning six major honours along the way.
