A man shot dead outside a street bar in Samambaia, near Brazil's capital Brasilia, has been identified as Mauricio Nunes Goncalves.

According to The Sun, Goncalves is the brother of the partner of Los Blancos striker Endrick's older sister, Lavinia Sudre, but is being referred to in Brazil as the footballer's brother-in-law.

It is being reported that the 38-year-old received a hail of bullets to the back of the head as he was trying to escape the targeted attack. Endrick's sister has changed her Instagram profile picture to one showing a black ribbon after receiving news of the tragic death.

Along with changing her profile picture, Sudre is also understood to have posted a picture of the deceased with the caption: "You left beautiful memories in our hearts that we will never forget."

The same report claims that no arrests have been made yet. While his sister has made a statement on social media, the teenage attacker is yet to say anything publicly.

The news comes at a time when the Brazil international is struggling to assert himself in the Real Madrid team. In the 15 appearances he has made so far for the record European champions, the 18-year-old has only started one match—a 1-0 defeat to Lille in the UEFA Champions League in October.
