A former Mamelodi Sundowns head coach is reportedly among the final three candidates in contention to become Raja Club Athletic's new head coach.

Ka Bo Yellow and the Green Eagles are in the same group in this season's CAF Champions League, but during their initial encounter in Africa's premier club competition, it was the Moroccan champions who were defeated as they lost 1-0 at Loftus Versfeld.
The result was the penultimate match Ricardo Sa Pinto coached for the Casablanca-based side before he was eventually dismissed. The North African giants have consequently been on the lookout for a manager ever since, and according to Analkhabar, the list of potential successors to the Portuguese tactician has been cut down to three.
The trio consists of Egyptian Tarek Mostafa, former club boss Mohamed Fakher, and ex-Sundowns boss Miguel Gamondi. The Argentine has vast experience on the African continent, having coached the South African champions as well as a plethora of sides in the Botola Pro Inwi.
The Olavarria native has been in charge of Hassania d'Agadir, MAS Fes, and Ittihad Tanger. He was recently leading East African giants Young Africans, but since his dismissal last month, the 58-year-old has been looking for a new challenge, and it seems he is in strong contention to become head coach of the three-time African champions.

The same report claims that the decision on who their next coach will be is set to be made on Sunday, before they take on Botola Pro table toppers RS Berkane.
