The winger has had his licence suspended for 15 days after being caught by police travelling at 240km/h last week.

Following his arrest and release, the Belgian took to Instagram to apologise for what he describes as a big mistake.

"Last week, I made an almost irreparable mistake. I put my life in danger and I almost put in danger that of the people around me, so I would like to apologise to the people who follow me," Kylian said in the video he posted on the social media website, as per Marca.

The younger brother of fellow footballers Eden and Thorgan Hazard is keen to atone for his lapse in judgement and recently visited a centre for road accident victims.

"I have visited a centre with people who have suffered road accidents and that has allowed me to realise that we must be very careful with the car," he added.

"There is no nothing safe and an accident can happen at any time. Because of my profession, I must show an example and, in this way, I did not do it. Therefore, I want to apologise to everyone."
