Every year, fans get to vote for those players they believe should be in UEFA's team of the season, in which Ronaldo has appeared a record 14 times, three more than great rival Lionel Messi.
To add to the fun, UEFA.com recently compiled a starting XI of the players who have been voted into the Team of the Year more than anybody else, and it makes for an incredibly strong side, one that most coaches in football would dream of managing.
In goal, Real Madrid legend Iker Casillas has made the selection on six occasions, making him the goalkeeper with the most appearances, ahead of Gianluigi Buffon, whom he pipped by one.
The Spaniard's former Los Blancos colleague Sergio Ramos has been voted into the team on eight occasions, which is the third-most behind Ronaldo and Messi.
In midfield, former FC Barcelona teammates Xavi Hernandez and Andres Iniesta have been chosen five and six times respectively, with the third midfielder being Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard, who made the Team of the Year three times in his illustrious career.
There is a strong Spanish football presence in the all-time XI, with six of the 11 players having been born in Spain, and nine of the selected group having played in LaLiga.
