Ronaldo 'Accused' Of Mocking Man Utd In Latest Post

Cristiano Ronaldo has been accused of mocking Manchester United's latest Premier League defeat with a recent post on social media.

The Portugal captain left the Red Devils at the end of 2022, just days before the FIFA World Cup was held in Qatar, following a high-profile fallout with United boss Erik ten Hag.

Ronaldo, after being left on the bench by the Dutchman on more than one occasion, aired his grievances in a controversial interview with British broadcaster Piers Morgan, claiming the manager disrespected him.

He later joined Al Nassr in Saudi Arabia as a free agent, and has since scored 50 goals in just 54 appearances for the Saudi Pro League giants, assisting a further 14 strikes.

While Ten Hag picked up the Carabao Cup trophy and got to an FA Cup final after Ronaldo's departure in halfway through his debut season at Old Trafford, the 2023/24 campaign has not gone according to plan.

With eight league games left, pressure is piling on the ex-Ajax Amsterdam head coach amid rumours his future is still being considered by new billionaire co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe.

On Thursday night, United were beaten 4-3 by Chelsea in dramatic fashion – Cole Palmer scoring two stoppage-time goals to win the game for the Blues – and Ronaldo's social media activity in the aftermath of the match has caught the attention of many.

Minutes after the result, the five-time Ballon d'Or winner posted a picture of himself on Instagram seemingly giggling while looking at his phone, and sitting next to a Saudi Arabian flag, along with the caption: "Happy days".

It has been suggested that the timing of Ronaldo's post was not coincidental, with many believing he could have been aiming a sly dig at his former club.
