Ex-Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku has replaced Cristiano Ronaldo as the World's Best International Goalscorer, while a former Mamelodi Sundowns target also made the top 10.

The International Federation of Football History Statistics (IFFHS) crowns the World's Best International Goalscorer annually based on goals scored in international club competitions such as the UEFA or CAF Champions League and for national teams in a calendar year.
Ronaldo has won the award a record five times, including in 2019, but missed out on the accolade in 2020 after finishing the year with nine strikes at international level.
The 35-year-old netted six goals in the Champions League in 2020 – two during the latter stages of the 2019/20 campaign and four in the 2020/21 season – plus three more for Portugal to end the calendar year with nine strikes overall.
Four players finished 2020 with more goals to their names, with Romelu Lukaku being the IFFHS World's Best International Goalscorer after all international competition for the year finished recently.
Lukaku netted four times in this season's Champions League plus another seven times in the UEFA Europa League, while also hitting the back of the net on five occasions with Belgium in 2020.

Overall, he scored 16 goals, two more than second-placed Erling Haaland, while Robert Lewandowski and Diogo Jota finished in joint-third spot with 10 strikes each.
Meanwhile, Karim El Berkaoui, who was linked with a move to Mamelodi Sundowns after finishing as the top goalscorer in the 2019/20 CAF Confederations Cup, also made the list – you can see the complete top 10 in the gallery above!
