After scoring a brace against Eibar, FC Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi has claimed a record-equaling sixth Golden Boot in LaLiga, and has now won the Pichichi title twice as many times as Cristiano Ronaldo.

The 31-year-old scored both of the Blaugrana's goals in their 2-2 draw with Eibar, which capped off their title-winning campaign.
His double took his tally to 36 LaLiga goals for the season.
As a consequence, the Argentine has lifted his sixth Pichichi title for the top goalscorer in LaLiga, equaling the record of Telmo Zarra.
Messi has now won the Golden Boot in Spain in 2009/10, 2011/12, 2012/13, 2016/17, 2017/18 and 2018/19, while Zarra won his in 1944/45, 1945/46, 1946/47, 1949/50, 1950/51 and 1952/53.
In addition, the Barcelona captain has lifted the award twice as many times as his longstanding rival Ronaldo, who won it in 2010/11, 2013/14 and 2014/15.

There was no player really rivaling Messi for the individual accolade this campaign, as his two closest competitors finished on 21 strikes.
