With reports suggesting that Cristiano Ronaldo is itching for a move away from Manchester United, the president of LaLiga has expressed his desire to see the five-time Ballon d'Or winner return to Spain.

Earlier in the transfer window, the Portuguese international handed in a transfer request to United's hierarchy as he looks to navigate his way out of Old Trafford, to a team competing in the UEFA Champions League.
A club that meets the criteria is Atletico Madrid, with recent reports linking the 37-year-old with a move to Diego Simeone's side, a move that LaLiga head Javier Tebas has advocated for.
"I would like to see Cristiano Ronaldo in LaLiga again," Tebas told journalists on Wednesday, as per ESPN.
"Whether it is feasible or not for Atletico Madrid, I do not know. There would have to be some player departures if they wanted to [sign him]. To sign a player of that level, you must make room [financially]."

The same report does suggest that Ronaldo's agent, Jorge Mendes, has a good relationship with La Rojiblanco but it appears the Atleti faithful are not eager on signing such an iconic figure of their eternal rivals Real Madrid.
"Ronaldo represents the antithesis of the values that constitute the hallmarks of our Atleti, such as the effort, generosity, modesty and humility of those who want to defend our values," Atletico's International Union of Fan Clubs said in a statement earlier this week.
"As such, we ask the club to reject his possible signing, if it has indeed been considered at any time.
Atletico president Enrique Cerezo has, however, mentioned that the transfer of Ronaldo is "practically impossible".
