The Argentine started pre-season training on Monday but had to work on his own for the first two days due to LaLiga protocol.
However, on Wednesday, he took part in his first full training session with his teammates since the club's humiliating 8-2 defeat to Bayern Munich and the transfer saga that followed.
Messi was not the only new face in training as the likes Sergio Busquets, Frenkie de Jong and wonderkid Ansu Fati also took part in the session following their returns from international duty.
In addition, Philippe Coutinho, who also trained individually on Monday, participated in his first team training session as well.

Arturo Vidal and Luis Suarez, who were reportedly told to leave the club and with subsequent reports claiming they were asked to train separately from the group, were also part of the training session on Wednesday.
Barca's first 2020/21 LaLiga game has been postponed due to their participation in the 2019/20 UEFA Champions League knockout rounds, but the Catalan giants will face Gimnastic de Tarragona in their first pre-season friendly of the season on Saturday.
