Real Madrid superstar, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Los Blancos legend, David Beckham, were among several former teammates to send farewell messages to Iker Casillas.

The Spaniard left the Spanish giants after 25 years with the club, making 725 first team appearances and lifting 17 trophies.
Ronaldo took to Twitter to hail the former Real keeper, who joined FC Porto: "Iker, proud to have worked with you for so many years. Good luck with your new team!"
Beckham, who played alongside Casillas between 2003 and 2007, has echoed Ronaldo's farewell message.
"What more can be said about this man.... I'm sad to see Iker leave a club that he adored and gave everything too for so many years," he posted on Instagram, alongside a picture of the pair sharing an embrace.
"He is a friend an amazing person and one of the best goalkeepers in the history of the game .. A true @realmadrid legend... Gracias Amigo @ikercasillasoficial."

Casillas left Real Madrid, following two farewell press conferences on Sunday and Monday, to join up with his new team where he will wear the no.12 shirt.
