Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo is experiencing his worst start to a La Liga campaign since 2010/11, and openly showed his frustrations by kicking the goalpost on Saturday.

By some strange coincidence, Ronaldo is still La Liga's joint-top goalscorer along with Celta Vigo's Nolito and Real's Karim Benzema, who all sit on five goals.
But the Portuguese superstar is not reaching the high standards he has set for himself throughout his career.
He has scored less than his current five goals after the first six matches of a season only once before, in the 2010/11 season, when he had just three strikes to his name.
In his first Los Blancos campaign, he also sat on five goals after six games, but they were more spread out. This season, Ronaldo has scored in only one of the six matches – he hit five against Espanyol – drawing five blanks in the other games.
In 2011/12, he opened the season with seven goals after six games and he hit six in six the next two campaigns.
Last season, he had a brilliant start to proceedings and was on 10 strikes after six games, despite missing a match due to injury.
Against Malaga on the weekend, Ronaldo was visibly frustrated with himself and his bad luck, kicking the goalpost after a last-minute header flew over the bar.

The Portugal talisman had 14 shots in the match against Malaga, but failed to hit the back of the net yet again – the 14th game since the start of pre-season, and including national team matches, that he didn't score.
