Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo scored an incredible four goals to reclaim a Lionel Messi record, move up in the all-time ranking and become top scorer of the current La Liga campaign.

The Portuguese scored a poker in the 7-1 rout over Celta Vigo on Saturday, taking his league tally to 27 goals this season.
He scored his 36th hat trick in Spain to reclaim the Spanish record, which Messi had equaled after his treble against Rayo Vallecano in midweek.
Overall, it was his 40th career hat trick – 36 since he joined Los Blancos, one for Manchester United and three for Portugal.
Ronaldo took his overall La Liga tally to 252 goals in just 228 games, surpassing long-time record scorer Telmo Zarra's record of 251 strikes to move into second position in the all-time ranking.
Only Messi, who broke Zarra's record last season, is still ahead of the Portuguese with 304 goals.

The 31-year-old now scored 14 goals and assisted a further four in 11 games under Zinedine Zidane and also jumped to the top of the La Liga goalscoring charts, with two more strikes than Luis Suarez.
