At 31 years old, Ronaldo appears to be in the greatest shape of his career, which could be a big concern for Atletico Madrid and FC Barcelona.
The Catalan club have endured a poor run of form recently, a slump that could very well have begun with Ronaldo's late winner against Barca in El Clasico earlier this month.
That loss seems to have put a dent in the Blaugrana's confidence – they have lost three of their past four matches, and were also knocked out of Europe's biggest club competition, since that defeat.
Over in Real's camp, Ronaldo appears to have found his best form at just the right time, and his influence has been a big part of the fact that Los Blancos are just one point off log leaders Barca in La Liga.
It was also the Portugal captain's hat-trick in the second leg of Los Blancos' UCL quarter-final that saw Zinedine Zidane's men advance to the semi-finals, in which they will play Manchester City later this month.
The Portuguese has often been hailed as one of football's hardest workers, and has looked hungrier than ever to get his side back to trophy-winning ways.

The forward has already scored 16 Champions League goals this season, with two more games – and a possible third should the Santiago Bernabeu club progress to the final – still to play, while he is also the leading goalscorer in La Liga, with 31 strikes.
