It has seemingly been revealed that Manchester United's No. 7 Alexis Sanchez wants to stay at the Red Devils partly due to his admiration for Cristiano Ronaldo.
Ancelotti: Ronaldo Made A Mistake In Going To Juve!
The Chilean has struggled to adapt to life at United since his arrival in January, and has already been linked with a move away from the club.
Sanchez arrived with great expectations following a sublime four years at Arsenal, where he became one of the best players in the Premier League after joining from FC Barcelona.
Many have claimed the 29-year-old will try to push for a transfer from Jose Mourinho's side, but Irish football journalist Ciaran Kelly believes the Chilean has other plans.
"As far as I know, there is nothing to suggest Alexis Sanchez even wants out at United at the moment," he said, according to Manchester Evening News.
"As twee as it sounds, you have to remember it was the Chilean's dream to play for United as a kid; he even had Cristiano Ronaldo posters on his walls as a teenager!
"Sanchez is only nine months into his United career and will be desperate to make it work. Throw in the fact he is on an eye-watering salary – that few clubs in world football can match – and you can see why he would be reluctant to walk away."
