Manchester United head coach Erik ten Hag has issued a strong message to the club's board following the team's final match of the Premier League season.

The Red Devils beat Fulham 2-1 at Old Trafford on Sunday to secure a third-place league finish, after coming from behind thanks to goals from winger Jadon Sancho and midfielder Bruno Fernandes.
Fans have been impressed by the progress United have made since Ten Hag's arrival, with the Dutchman having also won the Carabao Cup and led his side to the FA Cup final, in which they will play against Manchester City this coming weekend.
The 53-year-old, though, has insisted that United will need to bring in reinforcements in the coming transfer window.
"The club knows that if you want to play top four, if you want to compete for trophies in this tough league, you have to invest, otherwise you won't progress because other clubs will," he said, according to Sky Sports.
"We saw it in the winter. All the clubs around us invested. We didn't and still we made it. So, I am really happy and proud of my team."
It is expected to be a while before the 20-time English champions make new signings, however, with the sale status of the club still unclear.
