With pressure piling on United boss Erik ten Hag, reports suggest that the Three Lions head coach has become the favourite to succeed the struggling Dutchman.

Bookies have tipped Southgate to take over the reins from the former Ajax Amsterdam boss, even with the English tactician currently focused on preparing his England team for the 2024 UEFA European Championship.

The 53-year-old has insisted he is only thinking about the upcoming tournament, saying the reports linking him with the Red Devils are not important.

"Well, I'm not a big gambling man!" he told ITV News.

"The bookies can make their odds but it's not a conversation that's been had with me.

"I've got one thing to focus on and that's having as successful a tournament with England as possible. Everything else outside of that is a complete irrelevance for me."

United are currently eighth in the Premier League with two matches remaining, having lost a staggering 14 of their 36 games.
