European Giants 'Return' For €130m-Rated Osimhen

European Giants 'Return' For €130m-Rated Osimhen

Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly interested in signing Victor Osimhen, but only at a lower price than his mooted release clause.

A European giant has reportedly reignited their interest in Nigeria superstar Victor Osimhen, with the hitman still expected to make a move this off-season.

After his successful 2022/23 season with Napoli, in which they won the Serie A title for the first time in 33 years, many of Europe's biggest sides were keen to land the Lagos native's services in the ensuing transfer window.

One of those clubs was believed to be Paris Saint-Germain, but having been eager to defend their Scudetto title, Gli Azzurri refused part ways with any of the prominent players from their history-making squad at the time.

That championship defence did not go according to plan for Napoli, however, as they went from winning the league to finishing in 10th place in the following campaign.

As a consequence, the Italian club is now seemingly willing to sell their striking talisman.

Osimhen has stated that the Premier League is his dream destination, but with offers from the English top flight seemingly non-existent at the moment, this has paved the way for other European giants to take the initiative in trying to lure the reigning CAF Men's Player of the Year to their headquarters.

According to L'Equipe, PSG are once again interested in bringing the former Lille  striker back to Ligue 1, but believe his mooted €130 million (R2.5 billion) release clause is excessive.

The same report claims that the record French champions are going to try to talk the Serie A outfit down on that price.
