New Leader 'Emerges' To Become PSG Boss

New Leader 'Emerges' To Become PSG Boss

With Paris Saint-Germain reportedly set to fire their head coach, they are said to be seriously considering appointing an ex-Bayern Munich boss as their next manager.

According to Foot Mercato, Les Parisiens are looking at signing up Julian Nagelsmann as their new head coach.

The newly crowned Ligue 1 champions are said to be preparing for the departure of Christophe Galtier, who, despite guiding the team to the league title, has lost favour in Paris.

With PSG having been looking at several potential replacements, the German tactician now appears to be firmly in the race to take his seat in the Parc des Princes hot seat.

The 35-year-old has been out of management since he was relieved of his duties by Bayern earlier this season, and it seems he is raring to get back into top-level management by taking arguably the most pressurised job in European football.

Nagelsmann is said to be in the running for the PSG job alongside Jose Mourinho, Luis Enrique and Thiago Motta.

The same report claims that the French club's executives are also exploring the possibility of integrating France icon Thierry Henry into their coaching set-up should they welcome the ex-RB Leipzig manager as their manager.

Should Nagelsmann join the club, he will be PSG's fourth managerial appointment in as many years, but while that is not yet confirmed, whoever does become the club's new manager is will not have the luxury of having Lionel Messi at their disposal after it was confirmed he will be leaving the club once his contract expires.
