Ligue 1 Report: Paris Saint-Germain 2-2 Bordeaux 11 September 2015

Ligue 1 Result: PSG 2-2 Bordeaux Date: 11 September 2015 Venue: Parc de Princes Paris Saint-Germain dropped their first points of the new Ligue 1 season as they were held to a 2-2 draw by Bordeaux on Friday night. The visitors started the game positively and came within inches of taking the lead in the 11th minute. A clever one-two between Wahbi Khazri and Enzo Crivelli saw the latter make his way into the area before squaring for his teammate but it was just out of reach as it tantalised across the face of goal. However it was the Parisians who broke the deadlock in the 27th minute as Edinson Cavani opened his account. It was a gift for the striker from Cedric Carrasso who should have made a simple catch but instead fumbled the ball, allowing Cavani to pounce and slot an easy finish. At the other end of the pitch four minutes later, it was another howler of a goalkeeping error that resulted in the tie's second goal. This time it was Kevin Trapp who made a meal of a straight forward catch, giving Henri Saivet the chance to level matters. Cavani completed his brace in the 34th minute to restore PSG's lead. The hosts won a free kick on the edge of the area and it was Cavani who stepped up and curled the ball superbly past the wall to find the back of the Bordeaux net. The travelers were denied a great chance to equalise in the 69th minute as a crucial touch from Trapp kept a cross away from Pablo who was waiting to pass the ball home from close range. Bordeaux were reduced to 10 men in the 77th minute when Saivet was shown his second yellow card of the game after a needless tackle on Verrati. However, the away side found their leveller two minutes after losing the Senegal international. Trapp made another terrible mistake in goal, taking too much time dallying on a back-pass, allowing Khazri to claim possession and roll it into the back of the net.
