French Ligue 1 Wrap

Lorient 1-2 Paris Saint-Germain

After their humiliating defeat in the Champions League. Paris Saint-Germain returned to winning by beating Lorient 2-1 on Sunday evening.

The champions went ahead courtesy of own goal from Benjamin Jeannot, before Christopher Nkunku doubled PSG's lead in the 52nd minute.

Michaël Ciani pulled a goal back for the hosts, but it proved to be nothing more than consolation as PSG held on for the win.

Monaco 2-1 Bordeaux

AS Monaco ensured they remain top for another weekend, after they defeated Bordeaux 2-1 on Saturday evening.

Kylian Mbappe opened the scoring for the hosts in the 68th minute, before Joao Moutinho doubled their lead on 74 minutes. 

Diego Rolan pulled for Bordeaux in the 84th minute, but it proved to nothing more than a consolation.

Nice 2-2 CAEN

Nice suffered a set back in the hunt for the title, after they were held to a 2-2 draw by Caen on Friday evening.

The visitors raced into a two-goal lead in the first half, but strikes from Mario Balotelli and Anastasios Donis in the final 20 minute secured a point for Nice.

Lyon 4-0 Toulouse

Memphis Depay played a starring role for Olympique Lyon as they thumped Toulouse 4-0 on Sunday evening.

The former Manchester United winger netted a brace, which included a sublime strike from 40-yards out, after Maxwel Cornet and Christophe Jallet had given the hosts the lead.
