Despite strong interest from Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain, 22-year-old France international Aurelien Tchouameni has joined the 14-time UEFA Champions League winners, as confirmed by the club.

The defensive midfielder joins the Spanish giants from Monaco for a reported fee of €100 million (R1.6 billion), making him one of Real's most expensive signings ever.

Tchouameni made an impressive 95 appearances for his former club since his debut in the 2020/21 campaign, contributing to 15 goals across all competitions.

He becomes Los Blancos' second arrival ahead of the 2022/23 campaign after Antonio Rudiger penned a deal with the LaLiga winners following the expiration of his deal at Chelsea.
