Official: Barcelona Confirm 10th Departure

Spanish giants Barcelona have confirmed an 11th departure of this transfer window.

Midfielder Nico Gonzalez, 20, who is considered a top talent in Spain, has joined Valencia on a season-long loan deal from the Blaugrana after extending his contract at his parent club until 2026. 

The young La Masia graduate impressed after breaking into Barca's senior side last year, having already made 36 appearances since his debut.

Nico, as he is known, joins Gennaro Gattuso's project at Los Che after admitting that his main goal for the coming campaign is to get as many minutes as possible.

The prospect becomes the 11th player to leave Barcelona in this window, with the likes of Dani Alves, Philippe Coutinho and Oscar Mingueza among those who have departed.
